hi i have an isuzu mu '91 japanese import ucs55dw7103881 on starting the main fuse blows i replace the fuse and it blows again ,i leave the car for the next morning replace the fuse again and the engine starts no problem ,after a month o so the main fuse blows again I do the same thing again and the engine starts,after a week the same problem again i took the car to an auto electrician and could not find where the problem was changed the fuse again and the engine starts ,next morning the fuse blows again i took it again to another electrician same thing ,this is driving me mad it seems that we cannot isolate the problem ,can you help us out here,many thanks

I had the same problem. Check the wires that run along the sump on the passenger side for wear where the clamps are. It’s very hard to spot

thanks pig75 my isuzu is a 2.8 turbo diesel right hand drive ,don't know much about wiring and stuff but I will have a look at the sump,was your problem the same as mine , how did you find the cause of the problem do you have a diagram I could follow ,I appreciate your help here,thanks

I had a similar problem on my work corolla Over 6 weeks it went to the mechanic 5 times on a tow truck and each time the problem was gone when it got there. Very frustrating even when your not paying the bill. Turned out to be a wire that runs under the back seat to the fuel pump in the tank had worn through. As this corolla has been converted to a van getting to it meant taking out the load floor and cargo barrier. Hope your isnt as hard as this

great, that realy helps a lot , I have arranged for a tow truck this morning and back to the garage I will have a look at the samp first thing ,I have checked all other components but it seems there is nothing wrong there the alternator is fine and the ignition is fine,so I have to ckeck all the odd wireing now,hope I will fined the fault,thanks again

One thing always go back to the same sparky unless you have a good reason not to. They already know what theve tryed so wont try it again. Might be worth buying a multimeter so you can do some diagnosing yourself on the side of the road next time it dies
