Does anyone know where I can buy a new left hand Quarter panel for a 1991 MU?
Have tried panel shops and have been told to try this forum as someone here may know a supplier?
Thanks

You in Australia or New Zealand ? If in OZ, if it's the front quarters/guards.. then the TF Rodeo & Gen 1 Frontera (Frontera Sports) front quarter/guards are exactly the same .. If your in NZ, www.truckbits.co.nz/ , or I'll leave it to Alan or one of the other NZ guys ...

Hi,
I am in Australia and it is the rear left quarter that I need as I was hit hard on my left just behind the rear wheel.
My local panel beater has said it can't be repaired and needs a new rear quarter. He has said if I can find a new one and not a second hand one he will weld it on for me cheap.
Thanks.

hhhmm,
The only thing I can think of for a new rear quarter in Australia , is to talk to Holden and see if they still have the panels for the Frontera Sports , as they are the same body as a MU, but remember to sit down before they tell you the price ...
Or you can email Truckbits in NZ and see what they can do for a new rear quarter ..
either way, you'll be looking at a big hit to the hip pocket ...

If you were "hit" shouldnt the other guy be paying?? Truckbits in NZ or Holden also in NZ are your best bets but could take a while to get to you or buy smokaharma's Mu just for the panel and a few other spares

The car that hit me has given me the money to buy another Mu body from a wrecker as the 3 panel shops they got quotes from advised them that it would be cheaper for them ($4000) but I would rather use the money to repair my car.
The panel beater I spoke with has said that rear quarters cost between $500 - $900 depending on the car. To repair the inner pnels, weld the panel on and match the colour he is going to charge $1100, so at between $1600 - $2000 if I can find a panel this would be the way I would like to go.
All the panel shops I have spoken to have said someone will supply them I just have to find them.

I don't know if this will help but the Chinese model made by Landwind have the same body (probably bought the Japanese molds) no idea if they do spare panels though. Good luck What year are these trucks they look alot newer then the MU.

I think they are the same as the gen3 Mu that is rare in NZ and only found in Aus with a petrol Opel motor and badged Frontera Sport. They are just different enough to be no use to you. Contact www.4x4isuzu.com In Auckland and see what they can do in the way of sending you the bits or maybe a complete body shell. What are your rules on importing a complete body minus chassis etc

What are your rules on importing a complete body minus chassis etc I think bodies should be easy to import for spare parts, a bit like importing a half cut engine.
