Overfulleing is really the same as a lack of oxygen... the fuel rate shouldn't change overtime but I expect the air cleaner has... check and fit a new one if you don't know when it was done last no mater how it looks

for the engine go to the gmail account mentioned elsewhere in this forum and download the attachment called TF4JE-WE-9791.PDF. This covers the engine only. The rest of the 2.8 Mu is a mixmatch of TFS and Frontera so grab both sets of those attachments as well

i bought a mu cheap off a mate he put in a new gear driven engine from a timing belt one to gear driven wont run right to ritch had the pump rebuilt and the injectors done still to ritch any ideas would be great timing is spot on air cleaner new fuel filter replaced good comp can you run the pump from a belt driven to a gear driven pump thanks aaron

No such thing as mixture on a diesel in that the engine power is controlled by the amount of fuel being injected No control of air flow exists. Im guessing you have an engine that is smoking badly at all throttle settings If its never run right I would be double checking the cam and injector timing and also a compression check. Also test the injection pressure. Also consider that the smoke might be oil not diesel. If the fuel setting was too high it would only smoke at full throttle
