I started putting Morey's diesel fuel additive in my Nissan Laurel which was smoking badly. After a few tankfulls it is now a lot better. I also use in the Bighorn hopefully to keep the pump seals OK. and it is claimed to have other benefits as well. It works out at just over $1 per 50 litres which is very reasonable compared with other brands. Ken

oil treatments in a properly maintained diesel engine are a waste of time and money. They do no harm except to your wallet. Use a decent diesel oil and you dont need them. If you have a poorly maintained engine or have just bought a car with an unknown history some flushes can be very good. Fuel additives can help if you do a lot of short trips but not so much if you do only long trips. My Bighorn with 200000km on original injectors gets a double dose of the Nulon injector cleaner every warrant or fitness and still passes our smoke test. No harm will come except to your wallet
