Hello everyone
Recently joined the MU/ Isuzu clan. Have a 92 MU. Is there a trick to the bottom corner bolt (3 of 4) of the turbo to the exhaust manifold? Does the manifold need to come offfirst??I can't get any leverage on head for love or money. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Cheers Aki

Hey mate,
The two topside nuts can be done with the intake piping off.
The one underneath, towards the firewall I think I could only get at with the dump pipe taken off.
And the one underneath towards the radiator you can get through the wheel well (take off wheel and rubber cover flap to see into engine bay, the nut should be just past the oil return pipe).
The most frustrating bit for me was the oil return two little bolts (I managed to get them from the same place in the wheel well with a rachet and small extension).

The turbo blades recently went through the motor on my 91, so I've been pulling the motor out. I've seen some shonky work on mine though. First thing I noticed was the word "ok" written on my turbo which leads me to believe the turbo is second hand. Anyway I just got the dump pipe off, which is the best way to get at it, and I have no 3/4 nut the turbo was held on by 3 nuts and half the exhaust manifold bolts were finger tight. Previous owner deserves a punch in the face in my opinion.

Or certainly his mechanic does. Was he diy type. But then again from your previous post You have 260000 and have done 60000 of them so might just have to flag it to bad luck. The 91 should of had the earlier turbo but may of had the problematic one Did it ever whistle when the engine was turned off?

He told me that he was a marine/diesel mechanic and serviced the car regularly. Whether it is true or not, no one knows. I've only done 5,000 of the total km's, the previous owner turned the boost and fuel delivery up at around 200,000.
