Cruise Control

Did any MU have criuse control?

If yes, which model ? where is the speed sensor?

No diesel isuzu has cruise control except maybe the 98 and later with the 3.0 engine but they virtually do not exist in Aus. (they are rare in NZ) Apart from that only petrol engined Mus will have cruise control which in Aus and NZ means 89 ute models only

I know that most of you are dedicated MU nuts/ravers but Iam interested in installing a cruise control into my 97 TF Rodeo diesel.

However I dont want some crap hanging off the dash. What Holden came with factory cruise fitted on/in the steering wheel that I could fit into mine Steering coloum included if needed.

Sounds crazy but hey I like my Ute Do a lot of 8 hour driving stints so want comfort..

have a look at the petrol ute then Frontera/jackeroo/bighorn with the v6. This should supply suitable switches but the cruise control is all in the main computer so you will need after market

My cruise control is an aftermarket one using a magnet on the drive shaft to give a pulse, and it works OK so I have not bothered trying to do it any better

But according to the factory manual there is also a pulse off the speedo - there are two screws in the back of the speedo head that you can pick up a signal from, so if you want an integrated set-up that might be worth following up on.

I have a HUD and a Turbo Timer that needs to read the speed and as the mu I have duznt have an ECU that I have found would these screws u mention work??

If so where are they in the cluster??
