I'm trying to find out if the Australian Jackaroo 4jb1t had a belt drive or chain drive on it. I know the rodeo had the chain but unsure of the 88 to 91 jacks. Cheers Yarno

There's no guarantees in this life but everything I have seen suggests all Aussie new vehicles with the 4jb1 got the gear drive. Ive heard rumors that the 4jg2 was gear drive as well in the 92 - 97 jackeroo. Its a gear not a chain

Yeah that's what I always thought but getting the belts for the MU were never a problem as they are listed in the gates book under Holden Jackaroo which makes me think that maybe they had them... I'm hopeful anyway.

Confusion reigns. Ive just scanned through the 4jg2t manual and only found info on the gear drive.

I believe that the Jack with the 4jg2 motor had the belt, because when I order the belt I have allways asked for the Jack 92/97 4jg2.
