I have a LWB 1989 bighorn, 2.8 . I wanna know any reccomendations for new tyres. It is my work, private and off road vehicle, but have had A/T's and didn't like them, looking for muddy's. I have 30.9x9.5 15 on at the moment, and want bigger, has anyone had 31.5 or 33's on theirs, would it be a good idea having 33's for on road use? Where does anyone recommend shopping for tyres, and what brand please? All the help much appreciated.
Dan.

I can't recomend a size for you truck as I have an MU. I recomend the goodyear MT/R wrangler as I have seen the peform quite well for what they are, and they are a lot quiter than mine. I have the 33" BFG MT and dont find them that good.

Dan Ive got the same vehical as you and am currently running 31x10.5x15 GTSavero MT tyres They have proved themselves now very well and cost $215 each Before that I had Firestone RMT in the same size and belived they were the perfect compromise tyre. The Savero has at least equaled them except for a slight increase in noise. RMTs can be boughtr under $200 and lasted 60000 on mine. I cant truly coment on wear but I have heard of 100000 from the Savero Also the Goodyear MTr, the Kumo834, the Hankook RT01 are good tyres
