Hi all, I have a very small coolant leak (5-10mls overnight after a drive) that I can't seem to locate. The traces of coolant leaking appears to around the fan shaft and not the hoses or radiator. I don't have any mechanical abilities but I checked most the hoses that I can get to and cleaned it all and the only place where the coolant appears is on the motor plate at the base/under the fan pulley,....any ideas. Could this be an internal issue in motor , where is the water pump? Cheers Chris

Sounds like water pump. Its behind the timing cover. Ive just been looking into this on anouther car where the instructions are quite specific about coolant on the timing belt being a bad thing. At least a pump on an isuzu is a lot easier to change than on a corolla

Gee I hope the pump is OK and its a small internal issue Is the 2.8 pump the same as the 3.1, any idea the cost of a new one? I checked the parts section and found this GMB WP1100 from repco, money is too tight to be spending big on the MU I assume this pump GBM WP 1100 is the same as the holden 4JG2 motor (Jackaroo 3.1), just so my mechanic does not rip me or get ripped off himself?

Only other likly place for a leak is the hose thats hidden between the thermostat houseing and the aircon pump
