My whole system is tired and blowing with pin holes here and there.
I have a 3.1 LWB isuzu trooper and was wondering if changing the exhaust to a 2.5" bore improves the performance?
How about noise, does it make it sound like a tractor on the motorway or is it as stock?
Answers on a postcard!

noise depends on the muffler used. Dont know whats available over there so cant advise. 2.5 helps a lot esspecially if mandrel bent but for the 3.1 3 inch is better again but can be a pain for your exhaust shop to bend up which will cost more

A 2.5 inch will make a dramatic improvement, for the extra cost and hassel of a 3 inch i don't think its worth it, a 2.5 inch can be enough of a squeeze as it is.
