Hey all,
It finally happened, my A/C compressor bracket has snapped in half.
I have 2 questions......
1: Does anybody have one that they want to sell to me?? 4JB1 engine with what appears to be a zexel type compressor.
2: Does anybody know what belt sizes I can use from just the power steer to the crank pulley.

Should be able to get a bracket from a jackeroo or rodeo with the same motor. To get the belt size i would cut the current belt and then cut away a little at a time till its a tight strech to join the ends with the power steer adjuster set about half way. Then take the belt to your favorite belt supplier and explain what you are doing and why and he will measure the belt on a special gig

An update on the progress.
After calling what seemed like a lot of wreckers both MU and otherwise, I have a bracket in my hot little hands that came complete with a seperate top rear bracket that was originally missing from my configuration. The problem was that the bottom rear bolt kept falling out which in turn puts pressure on the front of the mount and that eventually cracked under pressure resulting in a bit of a snappage. A place called Brisbane Motor Imports were able to help me out for $44 which I thought was very reasonable considering how much most A/C mounts cost to buy new (in the hundreds).
Geeves, I was looking for a rodeo/jackaroo mount however one must be careful to get the right one as a lot of Jackaroo/Rodeo systems are genuine and have a different compressor. Mine has a zexel compressor on which I presume is standard on MU's.
As for the belt for power steer, I ended up measuring the distance between the outside of the pulleys, went down to my local Rip Every Poor C*** Off and managed to get myself a belt. For reference it turned out to be a 12A1270 I think.
Bad time to lose A/C for us, it is pretty warm here right now although I might just be getting soft in my old age.
