I've scored an 80 amp Isuzu alternator.Seems to work ok and fitted with no real hassles.I already have a dual alternater setup but only using one.I've put the 80 amp at the bottom as it's too bog to fit my bracket at the top.I want to run a second battery dedicated to the winch charged by the 80 amp alternator. How do I go about wiring it up.The power wire is no problem but the 3 wires on the other plug are a bit of a problem. They are designated ign [ignition switch?] s [signal I think to the charge relay which I hope I don't need to use] and L [ignition light ?].I would also like to be able to join the two circuits together via a heavy switch [temporarily] if one of the alternators dies. On a recent trip to the wires I found on a long winch [not helped by the stuffed drum bushes] the battery went flat causing the radiator fan to stop and the motor to boil. Any thoughts or suggestions? Regards,Harry.
