Looks very nasty. But it also looks very dodgy as thats dont look lyke the original mount for a bar or bumper.
In fact It looks more lyke its an added bit to maybe a lift kit!!!!!
I have added a full winch bar to my Mu recently and thats not the original mount.

lol thats my little stuff up. When it happened I heard a huge bang like I just hit a rock. When I first got my mu I got a bullbar built for it and they welded the mounts onto the side the body mounts, which I have found out are quite weak

Theres a "nice" tow hook story of woe in the latest 4x4action. Tow hook on factoy mount in a 70 cruiser stripped the bolts Through the rear window of the pajero giving a medium pull Tore side out of passenger seat then dented the B pillar before smashing into the A pillar smashing the windscreen and ricocheting into the back seat. Someone was videoing at the time and counting frames worked out the tow hook hit at 270kph. First the driver knew was when the front screen broke. Luckily there was no passengers

I'm planning on cutting off both mounts from the chassis and putting in a piece a 8mm angle iron for the body mount with a couple of gussets then i'll build an extra crossmember on the front which my hooks/bar will mount onto. I'm also going to put the hooks on the side this time as having them downwards is a pain in the arse. I'll post some pics of what I end up doing

Looking to buy some snatch hooks or shackles next week, but in the mean time i'd like to start on the fabrication of anything i need to make to mount it in a correct way.
Question is does anyone have some photos of what they have doen so i can get an idea of suitable mounting point as i cant see much that looks strong enough.
Cheers

Have a look at a couple of the Mus that turn up Saturday. If you like Daisy's setup he might be able to give you a quote. (panel beater by trade) Its always wise to talk to someone that has engineering skills and knows the forces involved. After haveing a good look you should be able to sort something out. Always remember if your hook comes off its you that gets to do the first aid as its the other guy that gets hurt

I cut off the side of the body mounts and put on a bit of 12mm plate that bent back and was welded onto the chassis with a compensating plate. Is strong as, but you'd need a certified welder to do the welding.
