oil light on when engine hot

What type of oil do you guys recomend? after doing a service my oil light comes on at idle when the engine is hot. only done it since oil change when i put mobil 15w/50 oil in it. i have increased the idle speed to stop this fault but not a propper fix. engine is only 20k old

Dont drive till the fault is identified! My oil is 15w40 so although yours should be a little thicker when hot it should be ok.
possible causes.
Bad oil Best checked with an oil and filter change.
Bad filter see above
Bad oil pressure sender Do you have a guage as well and what does this say?
Low oil level
Those were the good easy faults
The bad ones. First when you say motor is only 20k old is this a New engine A recon or a second hand engine? Before doing anything below a phone call to the supplier of the engine will resolve any warrentee issues
All the below should be covered in warrentee as long as you have been doing the 5000km oil and filter changes.
Bad oil pump. A lot of reconditioners skimp on this one by useing the old pump They then try and tell you its your fault for not replaceing pump.
Blocked strainer on pump Its a sump off job to clean
Bad bearings See warrentee issues as 20k shouldnt of eaten bearings unless crank was damaged
Internal oil leak The pump is sealed by an o ring Once again sump off to check
Damaged block Shouldnt happen unless engine has had a major overheat Realy if its this its a throw away
