Just thought I would post up some things I have done recently. After accidentally driving into a deep hole while on a night trip I managed to fill up the auto with water which I hear isn't great for them (The auto still worked though after a quick flush) So I decided to fit a manual I originally cut off my front mounts and gave them to a mate for his conversion, so I had to weld some 2nd hand ones on. Really easy conversion though, everything just bolts in. I wanted to do something with my fuel tank as they are so low normally, after starring at it for awhile I took the tank out and cut off the LHS mount and welded it back on 50mm higher. For the other mount I just welded 2 25mm square tubes together and used them as a spacer. With my 40mm body lift I managed to raise it 50mm. Also made some extended shackles out of some 10mm plate with a crush tube.

Next up was the engine. I've had an intercooler on it for awhile but I didn't like the way I set it up after hearing the housing can't be rotated. The way it was: I wondered why the housing can't be rotated so I took the turbo off and found you can't rotate the compressor side like the 2.8's but you can remove the front of the turbo. I then just turned it around one hole and bolted it back together, 3 holes didn't line up but a file took care of 2 holes and I drilled a third hole and put a m6 bolt with nyloc for the 3rd hole. I also had to make a new mount for the waste gate actuator. Heres a shot of the torx bolts that hold the front housing on Heres how it ends up I also fit a 2nd washer bottle and wired up water spray for the intercooler, it's controlled by the red button on the gear lever I also upgraded my wheels to some wrangler 33/12.5x15 on speedy black rims Just have to triangulate the shocks and extend/cut off the leaf retainer clips and it should flex fairly well on the back. One more thing I did was make up a set of swaybar disconnects as per James W's plans, they seem to work quite well.
