ok so my new turbo should arrive tomorrow thanks vince and robyn ;D have worked with a couple of turbos in fuel injected cars and for them we took spark away and cranked over the engine until oil started coming out of the feed, to get oil to the turbo for initial starting, seeing as its diesel im stumped for an idea. do i actually need to do this? or can i just pour a small amount directly into the turbo then put feed on and start, just to protect it initially thanks in advance

Disconecting the wire from the fuel cut off solinoid would have the same effect as no spark.

We just took the old one off out the new one on and started it up. I would not leave off the oil line to check for oil as you will have a big mess to clean up, but I suppose you could put them in a container and make sure its getting thru.
Cheers Bruce.

Cool as!!!! I'm glad it's working for you, like I said we hadn't tested it, but it looked all good to me. I thought it would be fine, but relieved all the same.
