Those who added an intercooler to their MU. What you you do for the bonnet scoop? is there a bighorn bonnet that will fit or did you have to modify the MU bonnet and add a scoop?
Also since I am here, will a bighorn intercooler bolt into place on a 1990 Mu?

Bighorn intercooler and scoop on Mu bonnet Dasnoboarder has a nice writeup on how to do it. You should of grabed the scoop and intercooler from the Bighorn at picapart when you were up there last week. The intercooler was still there Tuesday but the scoop was gone. You have to be quick for the scoops as everyone wants them. Ive seen them on Terranos, Surfs Cruisers and many boy racers. They are a far better scoop than anything aftermarket

;D Cheers.
Some people do use scoops (and sometimes intercoolers) off other things such as patrols, pajeros, but I think they are much harder to fit.
The only issues I've got with my one are that the silicone used to bridge the 5mm gap between scoop and bonnet (mainly at the front) gets all dusty and brown, and the black grating at the front has snapped in two places.
I'm thinking I'll replace the grating with a mesh someday... Maybe when we put the fan on the intercooler.
Andy.

We had no trouble fitting a Bighorn Intercooler. We still have to fit the scoop, possibly this weekend. I don't suppose it would matter too much, but I wonder how much mud/slop comes up the bonnet and straight through the scoop. We are fitting a fan to ours too, we will just have to switch it off if approaching deep mud holes.
