Have a minor issue with seat-back loosening and leaning backwards too quickly on the recaro seats in my 88 bighorn. Position adjusts with the large black wind-up knobs on side of seat. Have done up all the obvious screws but no joy. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks

I've heard this is an issue with alot of the early recaro seats and the only solution is to weld the mounts solid

There is anouther way. The problem is that the clutch washer wears out and is not replaceable as its made of strange stuff. I fixed mine by undoing the philips screw in one side and putting a thick rubber washer in there and putting it all back together. Its quite tight to adjust afterwards which is why you only do one side. I think the washer is actually a hose fitting washer. Both seats were done 9 years ago and still good

Great - thanks for that - will find some washers this weekend.
