Hi Guys I'm new at this so please bear with me! My fuel gauge is way out of cal and I was wondering if any body else has had this problem with their cars and how they solved the problems. At full it shows that it is full and at empty it is empty, but in between their is no accuracy what so ever with it, so can I get some help from you guys out there if someone has had this problem.

If its typical 1/3 full on the guage is really half full and the top of the bold area marking close to empy is just under 1/4 tank. If this is true of yours that's the way it is and forever more will be so. The normal fault that occurs with this type of guage is that the unit in the tank uses a sliding wire wound resistor and float to measure the level. If the wire in the resistor breaks you get a normal reading down to the break then straight to empty. Fix is to replace the tank sender which is best done with the tank near empty or drained

F = full E = just enough!!!!
If you can't be bothered playing around with it, you can always work off your km's. eg if you regularly get say 600km out of a tank then fill up at like 500km.
