4x4 Light Keeps flashing

Hi,
I have a problem that I can't find any information for.

I own a 1999Frontera MX.
Now It's only just recently started doing it, I haven't done any electrical or mechanical mods at all since it's done it.
most will know that when I put it in 4x4 the light on the dash will blink and then stay lit when i take it out of 4x4 it will flash and then go. It still goes into 4x4 fine and stays lit but when i take it out it just keeps flashing and won't stop flashing. Though it is back in 2x4 it still telling me it's disengaging.
It runs fine, like it normally would in 2 wheel drive.
Is it telling m,e there's something that needs fixing or is it a faulty switch or something.

Its the conections to the front diff for shift on the fly. Hopefully someone else has more info.

Sounds like a dodgy sensor or maybe the part not fully disengaugeing, could be disengaugeing enough t otake it out of 4wd, but not going right back to where it should.
