Its all stainless steel except for the rubber flex under the bonet of course. I thought about polishing it but i hate polishing so i just painted it, never gonna rust!!. Took a few hours but works really well and dosn't get caught on anything, even the lowest of trees or bushes.

How does it fasten up on the pillar? / windscreen - or is it just sitting there and got rubber grommet to soften impact onto panel?

way cool,i need to make one for my trooper ,no air box,going to make it stright air intake for the 2.6 i,just got to fint some 3 inch stainless and some one to bend it , how did you anchor your snorkel

There is a wee plate that is welded on under the head of the snorkle and is shaped to sit on the lip of the pillar under the door seal, and is held there by 2 screws.

Just my way of doing it, had a bit of spare time, i'd make the top a bit bigger to catch more air but thats about the only improvement it needs i think.

Just hooked up my snorkel this past weekend as I managed to find an already modified airfilterhousing on trademe which was perfect for my snorkel(Airflow) Thanks again for the pics Alan!
