I've just fitted a top mount intercooler, now comes the scary part, cutting a hole for the scoop. Just wondering if anyone has done this and could run me through the process. What tools they used, how big the hole should be etc. The scoop is the wide one off a bighorn Thanks Dan

scary job aye!!! basically all i did was got the 5" grinder out and marked roughy where the intercooler stat under the bonnet on the top side of the bonnet, then cut a small hole . now you can see where it all is and just keep trimming till you get it right. Remeber to cover the windscreen so you don't get sparks on it and just make small cuts at a time. also you will have to trim the stays on the underside of the bonnet to fit around the intercooler as the motor will hit them. i have to trim mine a bit yet so i will put up a photo when i have done it. hope this helps.

:)Fitted the scoop today, took about 6 hours of measuring , cutting, drilling etc. but i got it right and looks mint. Im very happy with it, just a little concerned about the fine metal filings on the bonnet and engine bay. I tryed covering every thing but it still got in! I'll wash the car tomorrow and give it a polish and hope no paint damage has been done. Cheers Dan

Don't worry about the little sparks or dust, just give it a good hose off then a good wash and you will be fine. It took me about that long to do mine, it is so rewarding when you step back and it all looks like it came out of the factory!!!!

I think I will pay someone to do mine. Have to colour match the scoop too.
