From memory it's M8 x 1.25 (std ISO) about 150mm long.

thanks for that, i got an m8 bolt but the pitch of it obviously wrong as it only went in as far as to come flush at the other end of the adjusting block and then lock up, just didnt want to stuff the thread or snap the bolt in the block. will have to duck down the bolt shop and get a 1.25 pitch bolt now. once again thanks for that.

UBS 55 Bighorns don't have the fancy adjusters but I'd say that if the adjuster block is more than 1/2 a thread long you wouldn't have got the bolt right through if the pitch was wrong.I can't think of anywhere on my Isuzu that M8 fine is used. Harry.

If you got your first bolt right through the adjuster block then you have the right thread, you may have to run a tap through the thread to clean it up a bit, you will have to be extra sure you have the right pitch though.

In my experience you need to ensure all the mounting bolts are a little bit loose. Looking at it from the front, the right bracket bolt (12mm head), adjuster mounting bolt (12mm) hiding behind the a/c belts and the bottom bolt (14mm). Only then and with oil will you know if you need to clean up the adjuster thread.

Don't forget to tighten them all up again though.
