snorkel

hey guys, just got a snorkel off a nissan terrano and it seems to fit the mu ;D

i plan on fitting it over the next week just wondering, once the snorkel is on is there anything else to do to prevent water getting in my induction? there seems to be a few dain looking things in and around the air box what are they? do the need to be blocked?

me thinks those extra ports in & around the air canister is for drainage. incase of water ingestion but if a snorkel is fitted why would you bother with it. i blocked mine up at least this way water can safely go over the top of it & i dont have to worry about it going in the lower drain hole as it has done in the past. the one in the middle i'm guessing it's for if water if it happens to fill the canister acts as a second chamber for it to spill into before going into the intake. as for rain or when you hose all i do is remove the lid & wipe the inside water out if any besides its always good to have a clean canister inside. just my 2c tho

fitted the snorkel yesterday, went well but took a long time.... being off a terano i had to cut away a small amount of the bonet so it could open and a few more small things.

anyway its all fitted now i just need a new peace of flexi pipe to go to the snorkel to the airbox, the bit that i had from the ternao has a rip it the side of it and would be a bit short i think.

were can i get some more, went to miter10 but they only had that hard stuff that dosnt bend very well. they werent sure were to get it either.
