am looking in buying a cb but at the moment am low on budget.I am looking at this 12 channel tait cb4 at trade me.I don't know much about cb's will this as it self at a reasonable price.Need your advice before the auction ends.

I had one about 20 years ago and it was a great unit If you can get it cheap enough it should do what you want. Remember that you will need an arieal / mount and cable - about $50 to $70 from DSE or Jaycar

All cb radios are great fun but quality comes with a good arieal and it needs to be just right for you specific needs.....

I guess for the mean time I have to setlle with a cheap one and later on see how it goes if I need an upgrade.Thanks a lot for enlightening me

Our club runs on CB CH 24 so im not sure if thats going to be any good.

Do you want this as a hobby or to talk to others that you go 4wding with. If its a hobby it can be geat fun and you will be surprised how far you can get. We had a CB here for a while and a couple of times we got Australia. If its for 4wding then you must have one thats compatible with your friends radios. I go out with 2 clubs one uses PRS the other used to use VHF but has now changed to E Band. As a result I have 2 radios. The radio your looking at is the old analogue CB not the newer digital CB also known as PRS.
