I thought at first that the club was eligible to discounts on parts but I was wrong.I bought 2 bottles of shock proof gear oil at BNT whangarei, then asked for a discount but unfortunately got disapponted. They even don't know that club isuzu exist. We need to have an account with them to avail discounts. Is there any affiliated shops where we ca get our discounts.

Unfortunately there is no nationally organised discounts for club isuzu. In Christchurch Mudlark has managed to arrange a discount at one of the local BNTs but this is likely to be because the 4wd club he belongs to also has this discount. Most 4wd clubs that belong to the NZ4WD association will have local arrangements with local parts suppliers that you might be able to piggy back on. Even in Wellington the 3 BNT stores offer different discounts to the 4wd club I belong to. Its something that could be worth looking into but in the present economic climate it would be hard work

As a parts guy it fustrates me these guys who think they deserve a discount because they own a certain car, i get it from the MR2 club, local 4x4 clubs, heaps, i believe loyale and trade customers who buy lots of part are entitled to a discount. I cant walk into Mcdz and ask for a dicount because its my favourite takeaway... Let the abuse start

don't take it personal mate, everybody is entitled to a discount specially choosing to buy at their shop should be a big deal for them or you as well.as a retailer expect customers wanting for discounts.get used to it.sorry if it frustrates you , but that's the fact.

If some places do give the club discounts it is because they know that there is a whole community of owners that are going to hear about it through here. It's just like advertising but you pay for it through a discount.

I think ono2hi has the right idea and some insight from the other side of the counter. Things like auto parts have come down a lot in price over the last 10 or so years and nearly all of this has come out of the retailers margin in order to compete with 2 large supermarket style auto parts stores. They dont have the profits they used to have to give away as discount. Also remember that quite often the discount price can be beaten by someone else on an over the phone quote. I have a 4wd club supplied discount card for a local supplier but frequently buy cheaper elsewhere. Discounts are a form of advertising but there has to be value for money in it for the seller. This works out well for a local club who can say "if you offer a discount we can send x number of people to your store plus a few of there friends" but for clubisuzu we cant say how many people we have in any area so we cant negotiate a discount. Best advice is to ring round for the best price and go with that. If a shop asks why you order elsewhere tell them the competitors price. They might equal it they might not but they will double check so no invented prices.
