Hi all,
Has anyone try the monroe brand of shocks in their rigs? Is this brand ok for replacement in terms of durability and quality.
Thanks

Short answer is yes.
E.g. the Monroe Adventure shocks are a bigger bore non gas shock which give a firmish ride but are good for both on and off road. Have had them on couple of trucks and happy with them - as are 4wd clubmates. Monroe also make gas magnums etc which also seem good - doing ex mileage.
There are also other good shocks like original Tokico, Rancho, OME etc available. If you're using a truck for pretty much solely offroading then you might be better investing more $$ and buying adjustable shocks like rancho 9000s etc.
The Monroe Adventure range does well for most trucks and regular offroad use and isn't too dear esp at club price.

For the price of monroe shocks i would say spend just a little extra and get ranchos.

I think from memory I paid only $145 wholesale for a front set of adventures last year for the bighorn - normally over $200 pr. Where abouts are you batosai.

If you are using the isuzu onroad and offroad the Adventure Monroes will do well for you. If building more of a dedicated offroader and rancho 9000s not too dear, they will be better.

Yes- had a friend who got goodclub performance and mileage from gasmatics.
There is good advice above re rancho 9000s, monroes etc - its just a matter of what type and amount of 4x4ing you do as to which you choose. I've done hundreds of 4wd tracks on monroe adventures and they've always done well. But if I was building a 4x4 to do mostly offroad I'd fit ranchos for their adjustability.
