Since my Trooper is getting on (1988) parts are becoming harder and harder to find, especially things like bull-bars and/or nudge bars. As well as being on the look out for a nudge bar designed for my Trooper, I was wondering if anybody had ever attempted to adapt a modern bar to an old Trooper/Bighorn/Jackaroo?

Ive seen a early bighorn bullbar go onto a terrano with only minor work. A lot of people just go to the local engineer or towbar place and ask for somthing to be knocked up. Not as pretty as a polished crome job but you only need the bull bar to push the odd bank out of the way. Easy way is go down the local wreckers with a tape measure and find somthing the right size then get an engineer to modify to suit. If your after body panels I have a large portion of a swb in the basement (it had a cockpit fire)

Cheers for that guys Appears I'll have to go around a few wreckers with a tape measure as you suggest. As far as body panels go, A+ at the moment, need a bit of rust work done within the next 4-6 weeks.

Thank's heaps for that Geeves I'll make you my first port-of-call if I need anything in the way of panels in the near future. At this stage I'm fortunate enough to have not bent anything. (Touch wood!)

Short or long wheelbase? The swb has longer doors than the lwb. That rubber is 1 piece from the bottom of the window track at the front to the bottom at the back.It breaks at the the bend at the top rear.Been there, done that.Ended up using superglue to join the ends back together. If your one's gone it'll be in the bottom of the door. Regards,Harry.
