hi everyone. im watchin my 87 bighorn approach 200 k on the clock. just wonderin if i should consider any type of maintenance at this stage engine wise? apreciat yuor thorts.

87 Is that the c223 or 4jb1t engine? If it has a timing belt this is due for replacement but otherwise just the useual oil, filters etc. Maybe be extra special nice and oil the door hinges. My 89 is at 191000 but Ive seen a 90 with 430000 on the clock. All that was wrong with the engine was a blown exhaust gasket and clutch.

My 89 4JB1-T has done 215000 and is still going strong, no engine rebuild needed and I oil the door hinges all the time , I get sick of the squeak and clunk all the time otherwise

If you have an auto, I suggest getting it serviced. Had mine done 2 weeks ago. Much smoother now.
