I´m near to finishing my slip-yok-elimination for my MUA 5-speed transmission that i want to install in my Jeep. Following the steps to do: Cutting the output housing just before the bearing sits: Machining to have a plane surface: Creating of an aluminum ring: manfredbrigadoi.interfree.it/foto/cambisu2.jpg[/img] The retainer ring where later the sealing sits: The ring was welded to the housing: And machined again to have a plane, sealed sit: Then the outputshaft was cutted and an machined M8 for a bolt to hold the Yoke: So far so good !!! Now i´m behind to realize the Hybrid-Yoke halfe Jeep half ISUZU !!! STAY TUNED!!! ;D

woww.....nice work...
The CJ´s are great. My brother have a 2001 TJ, some time ago we noticed a very hard sound from the rear axle, and it was the ring and pinion from his DANA 35, they were complete broken. Thiswill seems to be a joke, but we noticed the ring and pinion were made in CHINA, it says clearly "Made in China"...nothing about with Chinese, just wanted to say that JEEPs aren´t the same as the older ones....So never change your Isuzu CJ...hee hee...
cheers....

Thats right, some parts specialy in the tj need to be replaced before you go out of your garage... But in my opinion its the best Jeep out now! The CJ its classic and funny, but a well built Tj... Greats !!

Tom, great work, looks great. But out of curiosity did you know the later MUA5 trans mission in Jackaroos and MUs have eliminated the slip yoke already!
You just need to source the extensionn housing etc and change them over. I think someone did that when they went to install the Terra Low gears and found the kit is different with the slip yoke trans. The later models just have a flange end and the slip joint is in the prop shaft.
Matt.
