hi guys
ive successfully done a full 3" calmini lift on my 94 mu - however hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.
The torsion bars that were supplied were wayyy to small. Mine are 1217mm long 47 spline 25mm spline lenghts diam 35.8mm on top and 27mm @ mid bar.
Currently i am running with my stock ones - and they are losing tension which is not good. Does anyone know of any high tension bars that would either fit straight in, could be adapted to fit or if anyone knows where I can get customs made ?
thanks for any help on this one guys! Matt

Yes I think pre 94 models have 1000mm bars and laters have the longer ones. You'd be best off going for some pedders or the likes for heavier ones, they should know about the lengths for rodeos/jakaroos (same/same)... although I think very little of increacing the size of the bar when you can just index the end and get more spring tension for the cost of an afternoon of work.

Ok if you look underneath at the bar one end has the adjuster bolt on it, once you have tryed to screw it up and run out of bolt length and are not getting enough height, what you do now is loosen it right off with the front end on stands, now it should be loose enough to slide the spline out but you should mark it before you do this, then you need to turn the bar anticlockwise for drivers side and clockwise for passengers side, slide back in and try again. it is fairly simple, but if the bar doesn't come out there are two small bolts that you can undo and free up with a hammer and wd40....
Hope this helps Cheers Jan
