Hey.
I did it last year.
Just make sure the driveshaft doesnt slide out. I just supported it with a jack.
Unbolt the axle shafts and slide out of the diff (the bolts are a bit tricky to do up when putting it all back together, they need to be pulled to lock them in place while doing up the nuts as I remember)
Swap over the heads, and top it up with LSD oil.
Andy.

I also like to have some RTV gasket on hand to seal the diff flanges up again... I hate leaks and also consider new axle seals.. or be very carefull when pulling the axles. The diff can be mighty heavy if you are lying on your back... don't be underneath it when it comes free... which can stick a bit... there should be a champher on one edge that, say and inch long that allows a prey bar/big screwdriver in to break the seal. I suggest do this with the top nut/bolt as security untill all ready
But yes, petty simple

Ah yes, the diff head was a bit of a b***h to get out...
I got some small flathead screwdrivers and wedged them in to break the seal.
Yes, that diff head is rather heavy....
Used some high tempertature gasket goo when put the new one on.
I'll try to help out if you get stuck or have any questions on the day.
Andy.

Not to sound like an idiot but i have much better results with ordinary diff oil than the lsd stuff. the friction modifiers seem to make it work less effectivly and the only reason it was made for lsd's was because new customers of lsd diffed vehicles didnt like the little bit of shudder on take off from left or right hand intersections. My only other problem is the 33 inch tyres give my lsd a hard time have killed a second hand one already and i was running lsd oil in it at the time.

I put the Red Line Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil in mine.
A few users on here said it made the factory LSD go like a locker.
I haven't had any other isuzus to compare it to, but I think it goes pretty well. If you don't mind the shuddering and noise that is...
Will be in touch about the Muriwai trip

LSD oil does have additives to make the clutches grab. If you happy with ordinary oil then why not but it might cause extra wear on the clutches. That shockproof will make a stuffed lsd work again but costs a small fortune. I have penrite limslip in mine at a quarter of the price of shockproof and it still grips well enough for a wheel to chirp idleing out of the driveway and turning at low speed
