Hiya all i need to ask advice on a prob,I have just replaced the hose lines on the exhaust thingy that reburns the gas's on the left hand side of truck.there was 2 round valve's thinghys and the lines went to a couple of sensors by the air filter. MY question is he 2 valves what hose goes to what little sensor or doesnt it matter ?
Hope i make sence , even tho i re-read this and it sounds like CR#P
hope someone can help me . Just need to know that if the left valve goes to the top sensor and the right one to the bottom or vice versa then i can sort it out from there
Regards neil

Compicated question easy answer. These are anti polution egr valves. If your lazy get a thin piece of aluminium and cut it to match the valves then place it between the valves and the intake manifold then bolt the whole lot back together No more need to worry about the control pipes. A bit of your favorite gasket sealer would be a good idea. If you want to do a better job use a thicker piece of aluminium (6mm) take the valves off completly and replace with this plate and weld up the exhaust pipe that attaches to the valves. Keep the valves in case NZ ever makes this mod illegal but in the mean time you get better power ecconomy and less smoke.

Sorry Geeves,i dont follow. All i need to know is if i plug the hose to the wrong sensor will it cause a problem. As when i had my timing belt changed a few days later there was a funny noise so went back to machanic and he said it was the valves that were blocked and just removed 2 30cm hoses that went from the exhaust valves. Was once told they re burn the exhaust for better exhaust smoke.i put some hose back on them yesterday but not sure on what one goes to what sensor.
Confusing i know.

"Was once told they re burn the exhaust for better exhaust smoke" In a way thats true in that they do reduce nitrous oxide emmisions which is a major part of smog but at the same time they increase particulate emmisions that are the visable part of smoke. These valves were comppletly removed from my wagon before I bought it From what I can make out from the manual There should be 4 connections on the small unit by the air cleaner. The bottom one goes to the vaccume pump on the alternator (into the hidden area under the batery) the next two are for the valves either way round and the last is unused. I could be wrong about this so the easy check is to look under the bonnet of one in a car yard Car dealers dont mind as long as they think you are going to buy it

thats the one.i put the 2 hose back on from the valves to the sensors and noticed there was less smoke on start up since the last few days when i didnt have them on.But i am not sure if it is affecting my fuel consumption as i swear my fuel gauge has gone down a bit faster,as i filled up on friday and have done 50 odd k's and he gauge has dropped between 3/4 and full . when i could get 100k's from the spout to the full mark. Maybe its nothing.
thank you very much Geeves for your help Is muchly appericated. Also i sent a email to club isuzu RE: club stickers 4 your truck i once read on here, can u fill me in more on this please. Kind regards Neil
