Has anyone used these Rancho rs 9000 adjustable shocks?
are they any good? are there any other type of shocks you could recommend?
i was talking to the dealer on the phone, and they are incar adjustable with an air compressor that fits under the bonnet? is this reliable?
i am thinking of getting a lift kit with these shocks, do i need new torsion bars? is it something you would recommend fitting at the same time?
wish i hadnt got stuck in the mud last weekend, as i wouldnt be having these ideas!!

9000 are good shocks but Ive heard mixed revues on the in car adjuster which costs extra. Varyes from wouldnt leave home without it to you never adjust them after you get the right setting so why bother. The 5000 is also a good shock and a lot cheaper but not adjustable. You can use the original torrsion bars with a moderate lift but new firmer bars are a good idea. (I lifted mine 18m ago by 30mm and am still useing the original bars)

I am never going to buy another brand of shock again, the 9000's have made a huge difference to my truck and i only have them in the front at the moment. i now have the winch fitted and a solid bar on there and i can comfortably do 115km around 85km corners and it just guides around without the sway bar. for their cost they are a top buy as you can pay alot more for shocks that aren't as good and not adjustable. I wouldn't go the in-cabin adjuster as i personally don't see the need, but thats my 2cents worth.
