Hey all. Just got the thumbs down from the WOF dude and he says that the MU needs the IDLER ARM fixed / replaced  . I've had a look thru this site and other places on the net but i haven't found anyone with a similar problem. I guess that means no major recalls like mitsi!!! hehe  Anyway.... just wondering if anyone knew what sort of price a new kit would be.. i can't find any website that has good parts and prices on it. I priced one a while ago from wreckers. was about AU$90.

Mate, I would give Jackaroo world a shot, they are $330 new from Holden and thats at wholesale!!!! There is a non genuine one but I couldnt get a price for that. Rob at Jackaroo world might be able to do something, he has some pretty good contacts.
Any 4x4 Rodeo from 93-2002 will fit it, same part exactly!! You dont get the idler arm, just the relay box and it takes about 20mins to fit inplace.
Dont drop all the balljoints just the one on the end of the box and drop the 4 bolts, swap and go!!
A mate from sydney got a perfect one from Franks Parts (Commercial Wreck near Fairfield) off a 2002 Rodeo for $150! But since you are in Un Zed, (WOF) I would try your wreakers locally, Truckbits or still Jackaroo World!!

I overhauled my one about a year ago but the post may have got lost with all those other posts we lost in the changeover to the new webpage.Quite a straight forward repair but you need access to a good press and a lathe.I added a grease nipple to the idler body to make the repair last.
