When I apply the brakes when Iam in reverse I hear this clunk and again when I take off forward. My thoughts a universal joint, but I've just had the brake pads changed too and it seems to have started since then. Any comments muchly appreciated. Cheers Bruce

Mine also does exactly as you describe Bruce, I reckon its because our MU's are the same colour No I have had a good look on a number of occasions and believe it to be something to do with the rear brake callipers. Mine always does it when I reverse into a parking spot, and occasionally when I take off from being parked. It sounds like the pistons and sticking on first application of the brakes and then slapping on the disks when the fluid pressure unsticks them suddenly. This theory is yet to be proved and doesn't make sense when you take into account when you hear the noise, but I will whip off the callipers and carefully lube the pistons and see. As always it will be a process of elimination’s. J

Thanks Justin, justed needed a little reassuring as we are off south on Thurday to take up our new home. Don't need any probs with my truck before then. The phone just went and a mate in Brissy wants to buy an MU, so better go to tradingpost.com and have a look for him, thanks again mate. Cheers Bruce
