In my process to convert my Rodeo to diesel I question the gear ratios. Does anyone know if the rear gears on the gas and diesel are much different? What are the ratio? IS there a significant difference? Would it be recommended to transplant the rear end as well as the diesel and tranny?
Thanks

I know your idea of a Rodeo is a bit different to ours, but with my Rodeo - which is a TFS pick-up - there is no difference between petrol & diesel after the bell-housing - ie the engine and clutch are different, but gearbox, transfer box and diffs are identical, as are all their gear ratios

The 12 bolt Isuzu diff is common to all Isuzus except for some US built ones that had a Dyna40. Ratios will be 4.3 or 4.56 There is a 4.8 around but Ive never seen one as they are very rare. Even with the diesel you need the 4.56 if you have big tyres
