ok for the last few days theres been a strange noise being made by the mu . it only seems t do it when theres a slight up hill and it hits a bump in the road. i think its coming from the front drivers side, could be a balljoint but cant imagine it sounding like this. it dosnt allways make the noise but slowly getting worse. jacked up all the wheels the other day and they all spin freely with out any funny noise. its hard to discribe the noise but kinda like a belt slipping but not it only does it in pulses i.e it wont continulsly do it down the road but usually will go off a couple of times at once. its also quite loud, loud enough to hear it over the radio and is kind of a sqreech. any help greatly appersiated

hmm thanks for the help andy but i dont think its the problem you exprenced, it has to be moving for the noise and when it first started it only happened betwen 60-70km but now its between 30+.

my bighorn did the same thing. i did a full lube and sprayed all the bushes in the front end, it could be dry bushes, you have to find something that is rubber friendly for bushes, i use fanbelt dressing

Check that your AC compressor is not seizing up.
I had pretty much the same thing happen to me and it took me a while to work out what the hell it was.

If it does it when turning the steering both ways double check you belts. Stones in the brakes are still most likely culprit Front bushings can do it but Ive had to bottom ball joints do this as well. If its suspension bounceing the car should get the noise
