Hi guys I was wandering if anyone had issues with manual gearbox. Lately I can hear noise occuring when accelerating in 1-st,2-nd and 3-rd gear which I didn't have before and seems it comes from gearbox area. Tomorrow I'm going to check gearbox oil that is all I can do for the start. Does anyone have any ideas???

Could be bearings These are pretty reliable but nothing lasts forever. You havent got water in there by any chance. The breather will let water in durring deep water crossings Then dreadid rust starts on the gears. A lot of people have extended there breathers up into the engine bay as high as they can I need to do mine one day.

Dragon, yeah mate Im starting to get a whine in all gears, I suspect it the input shaft/mainshaft bearing. Mine is getting old and has done over 300 000km(estimate with clock wound back). That heaps of trip from Sydney to Perth, towing trailers around Aust and giving it heaps off road!
Going to give Jackaroo World an email about bearing sets and syncros for cost of rebuild.
Other than that I guess I could source another box from MU or Jackaroo/Trooper. See what happens!
Not sure if I will persist, the old Truck is getting a little long in the tooth and those STR TD Navaras are looking awesome!! lol
