I'm still mucking around with tyres and wheels to get rid of my alloys and go to steel. Narrowed it down to 80 series steels or Prado steels both in 16 inch, but I was wondering what the largest tyre size will fit on the Mu as I have found some wheels but they have the cruiser tyres still on them and need to know if they will fit. Thanks in advance, Andrew

265/75/16 will fit no issues as they are only slightly over 31 inch 285/70/16 should fit ok but might rub

Is it certified on 34s? Ive been told the brakes struggle above 33 inches. To meet certification you need to be able to accelerate to 100kph and stop again 3 times in under a 2 minuites. Some std cars cant meet this test

Plenty of room with 34's on a standard MU? ? 32's rub on a MU with 2" of lift? Tell me your secret sensai! I want to run 33's but am still working out what rims to run them on. (Thinking Sunrasia Chromes 15x8) I have 2" suspension and 2" body lift. Jimmy

Hi there, does anyone know if 215/85/18's will fit under a standard MU. I found a set of 18 inch 6 stud wheels and tyres off an import pajero for sale. Have been told they fit on a rodeo and Jackaroo (troopa??), among others. They should work on a MU, right? Thanks

It might pay to check the availlability and range of replacement tyres for that size rim.You may not be able to get decent muds. Harry.

lol. Show pony, maybe. I'll still be keeping the original 15" mags and tyres. I only looked because my tyres are worn down and need replacing soon. The set of 18" wheels and tyres was going cheap with 90% tread. As for muds, I could get them on the original wheels as backups when finances are available. I don't see much mud, mostly sand and black top. If I can't afford to replace the 18" tyres when the time comes, I'll sell the wheels and use the originals again. Just don't know whether I can pass up a set of wheels and tyres for the price of replacing the tyres. We'll see....
