Well have sorted out the radiator and the studs now time for the brakes. When I brake at low speeds like just before I come to a complete stop there is a major shuddering in the front. I have been told that it is the rotors as there is no screeching just the shuddering. To get the rotors done is expensive but apprently this is only to cover the cost of removing the rotors, the actual planning is not to dear ($100 NZ) does this sound right and what is involved in taking off the rotors?
I think i might buy a race team they dont break down as much.

The front rotors are attached behind the hub so the bearings have to come out Still not a major job less than an hour a side Try changeing your front pads first though and checking the slides run free as this can cause shudder. In NZ we can get new discks at under $100 a side so wouldnt bother planing them. Also there are mechanics with a machine that can machine then on the car

Like Alan said the cost of new rotors is relatively cheap, especially if you do the removal yourself. On the homepage there is a pdf file showing how to change your cv boots and this would contain the info on removing your wheel bearings etc if you aren't sure exactly what you're doing. Would suggest new bendix kevlar 4x4 brake pads first and checking for any play in the brake calipers and also looking for visual signs of wear on the rotors (large grooves etc)
