Driving home last night in heavy traffic the clutch pedal just went to the floor & stayed there pulled over just as truck stalled. Had to pull pedal up by hand . Call ed for a tilt tray as he showed up the clutch regained pressure & drove it on the tray truck then drove it of at home. Have not had a chance to lift the bonnet as yet. Could any one shed some light on it as I'm not keen to drive it as yet. Have not had any problem selecting gears to date . Thanks Dave

Loss of fluid or air in the system. Check under the dust caps on the slave cylinder and master cylinder for fluid. (master is easily visable from inside cab above the clutch pedal. Replace cylinders as nessecsary. They are cheap and not worth rekitting. On mine The master was leaking air into the cylinder but not fluid out which made it impossible to bleed. Get someone to push the clutch pedal while you check the travle at the clutch and check the fluid level. Only other cause is the actuating arm for the clutch has siezed due to mud etc. This could be a gearbox out to fix so hope its hydrolic. Master cylinder is easiest to change if bonnet removed first

Sounds like the slave cylinder to me. Mine did the same thing.
Smack bang in the middle of Frazer Island! That made for some fun.

Check around the slave cylinder on the lhs of bell housing on gearbox. Usually the first to fail as it is closer to all the mud and stuff. will be fluid all around it if it is leaking. Fairly easy to replace. When bleeding it fill the master cylinder reservoir under the bonnet first, then bleed at a point about half way down the pipe on firewall just above starter motor (my 2.8 has a bleed nipple there anyway) before trying to bleed at the slave cylinder or you won't have any luck getting all the air out of the line.

Im pretty sure all the Isuzu/Holden wagons are the same. Over here were a little spoilt. Just walk into BNT ask for a cylinder to fit Bighorn and they walk out back and put one on the counter. Mines non original and made by a Chinese company called Qualitee from memory. It was over 2 years ago I did this repair. Shouldnt be hard to get

That bleed nipple can be a trick. The first time mine got air in this was the only way I could bleed it but after the new master cylinder it bleed quite happily form the slave cylinder. My master cylinder never leaked a drop but was sucking air. When dismantled the piston and seal woul drop down the bore under its own weight Not a lot of seal pressure

Fitted the new parts what a mongrel of a job, went to connect the the solid line that runs along the firewall & found that the flared nut was smaller that the female thread on the master cylinder . Had to go to the wreckers they had a 91 Mu found its pipework had a large nut on one end small on other ;D. Will be fitting it all in the dark then bleed the system . Truck will be at MtMee even if it is on a tilt tray ;D ;D ;D. Dave

Almost impossible with bonnet in place. Only takes 30 min to remove refit and line up the bonnet (second person needed for line up)
