when i lock in my MU's hubs, whack it in 4x4 and put my foot down i get a ticking noise in my front right hub and i recently have been away driving on the beach and it really became noticable especially when cornering. It feels like something is biting in the steering everynow and then. Can someone confirm to me that this would be a CV joint please?
Also, what Holden vehicle uses the same CV joints as a 1994 MU? and what parts should i ask for?

Could be but also might be the small needle bearing inside the back of the hub.

This is quite possible, you should always renew the circlip every time you remove it, i never did untill i had 2 come off, lucky i checked the bearings a week after i put them back on, otherwise it sounds like a cv!!! HAHAHA you poor sod, start praying its an outer one!!!
(Sorry can't resist, i've had so much trouble with cv's)

Go to a bearing shop as get some new ones the response will probably be they only sell packs of 10. But when you ask it will be $6 or something else small..... so don't hold back, get a few. :-)
