Rear main seal from motor into clutch housing, and rear seal at back end of transfer case where driveshaft fits in. This latter seal tends to need replacing once a year if you have done a shackle and torsion bar lift as this lift alters the angle of shaft slightly into transfer case.

Thanks for that. There is a small wetness around the xfer case seal that I should look at one day. I need to take the driveshaft out to check the ujoints and center bearing for a minor vibration but might just find that its the steps touching the body. The steps have protected the body fairly well but now realy need replaceing Do you have the part no for the xfer case seal please

Alan - Isuzu part no for back of transfer case oil seal is # 8970467053 - this is for my 88 swb bighorn so should be same as yours. $13.56 + GST trade price from Isuzu dealer here. Let me know if you have difficulty getting one.
Had a vibration myself that I could not find but saw it when on hoist - a bent rear exhaust mounting causing rubbing. Check for rocks wedged between chassis and body. Always useful to have a wander round when truck on hoist - and tighten up a few bolts. Nothing quite like offroading for loosening nuts - as I think you've found out also...
Mike.

A good place to check for a vibration is the t/case guard. It's easy to jam a rock in there against the t/case. Harry.
