Howdy - I was crawling under the bighorn the other night looking for a rattle thats been bugging me (still cant find it) and noticed the lower wishbones of the front suspension are only about 1cm or less from the bumpstops.. is this normal ? or should i crank up the bars a bit? she has a little forward lean but not too bad .. Any ideas?

Blinky, nah mate this seems a little low and esp if its lower at the front than at the rear!
You can crank them up yourself if you are a little competant, just takes a bit of fiddling and about half an hour!
Do you have a socket large enough to fit the adjusting bolt down the side of the chassis rails? If so measure the height from the bottom of your rim to the top of the guard on both sides front and rear.
Jack up the front , no need to lift the wheels just take the weight off. Now tighten the bolts evenly to start and count your turns...then drop it down, roll back and forward a few times to settle the height and measure again...continue till all the guards are the same height front and rear, left and right!

We have cranked the torsion bars up a little (1/4 inch) about 3 months ago.. im pretty sure its lower at the front than rear tho so ill crank her up a bit more to level it out..
seems to drive ok but those susp arms are mighty close to the bumpstops..

If you have new standard suspension (which is unlikly) and 31 inch tyres then you sould measure about 860mm between the top of the wheel arch and the ground This is the same front and back. Mine was 830 before the new springs and 890 now.

Thanks Geeves - I cranked her up five turns each side last night and have gained about 1-1.5cm clearance from the bumpstop to the lower arms. the front is now pretty close to the height of the rear..
