have read a few things saying how to figure yours out, but i gave it a go by jacking up one side of my open rear, and got 2.25 ish drive shaft turns to one tyre rotaion......
2 turns making 4.5ish couldnt see exactly but pretty dam sure....
so that gets me closer to a 4.56 then a 4.3 diff....... any one confirm for me?
my head hurts

sounds like 4.56, but to be sure do something like 10 turns, and divide by 10.... improves the accuracy somewhat or even 45 if still not sure etc.... It's handy to have a mate spin the wheel while you count the tail saft turns.... a bit of tape or chalk is a good marker

A lot of 2.8 Mus got the 4.56 regardless. Mainly because they also got 31 inch tyres

My point with two turns, as there is not enough differance to confidently be sure the differance between a 4.56 and a 4.3 diff... that is 0.23 differance... can you really tell that accurately? the back lash could be that much..... Try 10 turns and divide by 2... as you have one wheel on the ground, one off. Therefore the differance between 4.56 and 4.3 will be 2.3 turns on the tailshaft... and easy to spot
