my speedo cable has snapped in 2 bits down by transfer case, i can get hold of 1 cheap as chips but its out of a auto and wonderin if it wood be the same and work and everythin else, warrant due last fri???

They are chaper than buying second hand and you get new parts.
Mine went a while ago, I got one out of a bighorn from a wrecker for $40, when came to do it i couldn't find it, so got another for $35 and found that was too short, so gave up and went to Parrots, they fixed it overnight for $40... would have been less pain if I did that in the first place...
Do check or talk with them how much yours will cost though, depends on the condition of your present one of course.

Mudslinger - I recently busted a cable on my 88 bighorn and JamesW gave me a spare one he had. I still have the broken inner with a good outer. If the outer is of use you are welcome to it - Parrotts could make up the inner for you v cheaply.
