new to the forum
can anyone tell me about the auto trans on the turbo diesel mu, what are they like? and what does the mu drive like with an auto. all the other 4wd I have owned have hade a manual gearbox, whats the auto like in the bush? and how strong is it?

Its a good auto and does off road duty fairly well. In normal situations you can just point and drive with adequate engine braking etc esspecialy if you select lower gears.
Do fit an aftermarket oil cooler (all autos will love you for this)
If you intend to do any serious off road there are a few techniques to learn to achieve the same level of control you had in a manual (commonly known as left foot braking but this is not literaly what it is) An internet search will find out more
