Anyone had any problems bleeding there clutch or any tricks that work?? Ive just replaced the slave cylinder and have used over a bottle of fluid trying to bleed it and still lots of bubbles and no movement at the end .

I found that when I did my slave cylinder could not get the pedal to feel right. Then I put a kit in the master and all was good

Its working now What a briliantly designed system (not) We removed the master cylinder dismantled cleaned and inspected it was all ok put back together still couldnt bleed it Had a closer look at everything and found a chamber thingy half way down the inner gaurd with a bleed nipple on it Bled it here and all is ok. Im guessing that this was full of air and the fluid just bubbled past the air. In total we used 3 bottles of brake fluid on a system that holds less that a cup full

The best way is to first crack the outlet from the master cylinder and get clear fluid out of there. then move to the bleed point that Alan mentioned on the LHS of the engine bay half way down the guard. Finally bleed it at the slave cylinder and all should be good.

Well I though Id fixed my clutch but 2 months later its back to the same Now cant put it in gear when stationary unless motor is stopped Changing gear is a pain as well. Tryed rebleeding and every 4th pump gets 50% air followed by 3 pumps of pure fluid. I never let the resivoir below the min mark and half a bottle of fluid used. Im guessing the master cylinder is somhow sucking air past the seal but no leakage of fluid. Any thoughts? ? before I buy a new master cylinder. Slave is new and this was from the bleed nozzle half way down the line.

I changed mine recently and had no probs. Got someone to press clutch a few times when I had bleeder closed, and then released the pressure immediately. Did this several times to be sure and used minimal fluid. The bleeder may have loosened on your truck or a busted seal/damaged hose?? Good luck

I thought I had left a final post on that topic alas I didnt. I bit the bullet replaced the master cylinder Total cost $60 and 1.5 hours of tv watching time Good as new. The old cylinder looked perfect but the seals didnt have enough pressure against the cylinder wall to stop the piston falling either way under its own weight Easy to see how the air was getting in. Hardest part was convincing the wife to come out to the icy cold garage to stomp on the peddle for me
