Just wondering, I get a Vibrating noise when traveling at about 80 - 100kms when coasting.
so its when there is no pressure on the drive shaft (in the middle of acceleration and deceleration)
its not very nice but i hope there is a cheap and easy fix.

check your drive shaft universals first. any play at all is a fail. then jack up the rear so you can rotate the diveshaft by hand looking for any tight spots. (think safety) You might have to remove the driveshaft to fully diagnose any tight spots if there is any. Check the center driveshaft bearing for exess play if it has one. Try swaping tyres front to back to see if it changes. Make sure your exhaust and any side steps are not touching the body. These are the easy fixes. Have you lifted your truck or done anything that changes the angles of the gearbox output or axle flange. If the geabox output and pinion input are not parelell it will vibrate and there is not a lot you can do. Also check engine and gearbox mounts and driveshaft balence Most lily is a u joint These are the same as toyota hilux and fairly easy to fix

could be wheel balance, have you had the wheel off latly you might not of put it quite back on right, other wise some if the wights may have fallen off.

i have had my wheels balanced and changed (because new ones were needed) the issue seems like drive shaft related from the sound.
I have checked the gearbox mounts as i have another knocking noise that i cannot find, seems to be at idle - 1000rpm (ERK...)
its only at high speed and not under any load. im not sure if the weights have come off i didnt see anything the looks odd. maybe i can take it to an GB shop.
thanks for your help guys!

hi jasin just a thought if you know a mechanic get him to put the mu up on a hoist put it in drive & see whats going on without the resistance your talking about. or if you have a large enough area (concreted) & a heavy duty trolley jack (garage spec) jack the rear diff up 1/2 a foot of the ground or so & get a mate to sit in the drivers seat to regulate the speed & for safety reasons while looking from the side or rear of the vehicle whats actually going on that way. i did this way with mine to determine which 35 was the most out of shape so i rotated the wheels accordingly (less steering wheel vibration) now.my mechanic was'nt to keen to put up on hoist & leave in drive whilst underneath maybe yours is.? cheers muvit
